The Altura MkII+
The Altura MkII+ is a hands-free MIDI controller, sequencer, and arpeggiator inspired by the classic theremin—letting you shape music in midair with nothing but gesture and motion. As you move your hands above its sensors, the Altura sends expressive MIDI data to your synthesizer, giving you control over pitch, volume, velocity, modulation, pitch bend, portamento, and more.
This updated MkII+ model features an all-new steel enclosure with refined graphics, a more robust LED display, and a simplified circuit board that’s easier than ever to assemble. You can save presets, program an 8-step sequence, shift it up or down the scale, tap in a tempo, and switch to double-time or half-time performance—all while controlling virtually any MIDI synthesizer, including the Macchiato Mini Synth.
The Altura MkII+ is available either as a DIY kit or as a fully built, ready-to-play unit.
